Who is Jesus?
JESUS said: I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father unless he comes through Me.
John 14: 6

Who is Jesus?

Jesus Christ is God’s Son. Yet about two thousand years ago He left His Father’s glory in heaven and entered this world as a human being. Conceived by the Holy Spirit He was born to a young virgin named Mary in the village of Bethlehem in Palestine. Jesus lived a sinless life and was completely obedient to His Father. He taught and healed people performing many notable miracles. He sacrificed His life for us all because he wanted to save us from a hopeless, evil and terminal condition that resulted in our eternal separation from God. There is a consequence to our sin and that was death. The only way this could be remedied would be through someone dying for us who was not contaminated with sin. Jesus took our place and willingly died an awful death on a cross for us. As the only perfect person, He was the only one qualified to take our place. Finally He was proved to be God's Son by being raised from the dead (the resurrection).

The accounts of His birth, life, death and resurrection are recorded largely as eye-witness accounts in four books in the Bible known as the gospels.

The resurrection is a fact that has been verified by a number of events. Jesus presented Himself alive from the dead to people on different occasions. He appeared to some women near the tomb. He appeared to His disciples in a room where they were meeting, they touched Him and He ate with them. Later he appeared to 500 people all at the same time.

Jesus Himself said that He had been sent from His Father:
And Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me does not believe in Me, but in Him who sent Me. And he who beholds Me beholds the One who sent Me. I have come as light into the world, that everyone who believes in Me may not remain in darkness. And if anyone hears My sayings, and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day. For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me commandment, what to say, and what to speak. And I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me.” (John 12: 44-50)
